Hello!
Welcome to my blog. I am not quite sure what direction(s) this blog will take yet, but I will try my best to inform you. I owe it to my friend, Zachary Randell Isaac Kyra-Derksen, for being my inspiration for starting this blog. He most unknowingly has planted the seeds in me to help me sprout and reach into the sky. He has a charisma about him that is very contagious and encouraging. For him, I am very thankful.
Anyhow, enough of my friend, this is my blog! As this is my first entry and step outward into the world of blogospheres, I think I'll outline my goals for "night of the jokers:"
1. To share my part of the world that may entertain, inspire, encourage, or remedy the disease of boredom that seems to be so rampant in my town.
2. To learn about myself. Hopefully, through my dialogue with you, I will learn valuable lessons that I can share. To learn about myself is to also learn about those around me.
3. To refine my skills. I enjoy writing poetry and songs and feel fairly comfortable in those areas of my life, but I wish to expand on what I am comfortable with. Specifically, I would like to improve on my communication skills and interpersonal skills. A huge part of that is listening. I know that I am a fairly good listener by nature, but talking through this blog and reading/replying to comments, I expect, will help me develop my repertoire. There's a fine line - and significant distinction - between knowing how to be something, and being something.
4. To cure my own case of boredom.
5. To connect with colourful people. Too many in this world are clothed in black or white, I'd like to truly build and maintain real, meaningful relationships with the humans underneath those disguises - for beneath that checkered camouflage bleeds the thousands of grey that make living: life.
and..
6. Curiosity: (Because I can, dammit!)
Maybe, these goals are more about me and less about my blog. Alas, this particular entry is welcome to me! As you'll notice, I have a capacity to be pretentious.
Anyhow, I feel I have expended my blogging energy. To preserve this for future entries I will now take a nap. Sweet, sweet naps. Hope to get to know you, or not - I'm not one to purposely impose myself on others (though I fear I do too often). Feel free to comment!
In Love and Peace,
Isaac Joel Louie

OH YES!
Well done Isaac. Where I have noticeably dropped the ball you have picked it up and started running! I love the name you have given your blog. It is both catchy, fun and somehow elegant... Congratulations my friend on a stellar first entry!
